The Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra is a leading Essex orchestra bringing together professional musicians and experienced amateurs from Brentwood and further afield to perform three main symphony concerts a year in and around Brentwood, Essex. It was formed in 1973.
We perform a wide and varied repertoire under the direction of several excellent conductors and often perform in collaboration with other musical organisations in the local area
The Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra was registered as a charity in 2002 (registered number 1090184).
.We usually rehearse on Tuesdays 7.30-9.30 pm and Sundays 2.30-5.00 pm in the month preceding each concert (with typically eight rehearsals) plus at 2.00 pm on the concert day at the concert venue. Two rehearsals are usually for strings only and all other rehearsals are for full orchestra unless otherwise specified.
