The Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra is a leading Essex orchestra bringing together professional musicians and experienced amateurs from Brentwood and further afield to perform three main symphony concerts a year in and around Brentwood, Essex. It was formed in 1973
If you are looking for an Essex orchestra to join, the Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra rehearses twice a week for a month before each concert: Sundays 2.30 - 5.00 pm and Tuesdays 7.45 - 9.45 pm. With busy schedules, we recognise that not everyone can make every rehearsal. Two rehearsals are usually for strings only.
The BPO's subscription for players is £90 for the year with single concert subscriptions of £30. Subscriptions are half price for full-time students and those on benefits. For UK tax payers, subscriptions are eligible for GiftAid. New players do not pay for their first BPO concert. If you would like to play in the BPO (no audition required), please contact us.
The Brentwood Philharmonic Orchestra was registered as a charity in 2002 (registered number 1090184).
